The founder

Lovepreet Singh is the founder of Lovelace, and Founder and Managing Director of Five Rivers Inc. His work spans technology, cybersecurity, web design and digital product development.

He also writes at misterlove.in — long-form essays and research on Indian history, society, philosophy, belief and public life, grounded in careful reading and clear language.

Purani Dhun is three rooms of records and a machine to play them with. Nine rooms of old Hindi film songs on the front page; Loha, 499 Punjabi records across four decks, for lifting; and Max, 202 records that gyms play everywhere, in any language.

It is a static site — no build step, no framework, no tracking. The corridor behind this text is one WebGL shader. Every record streams from its own official source on YouTube; nothing is hosted here.

One thing worth saying plainly: the pages cannot hear the music. The player is a cross-origin frame, so no page here has access to the audio. What moves on the beat is a tempo clock driven by playback position, and the Tap key sets its real tempo. Nothing on this site is pretending to listen.
